“What do you get when you combine woolly sheep with green tomatoes?”

No idea?

Well jump in the car and come and see us, you’ll be amazed!

Take a tour, meet the menagerie, enjoy lunch or morning tea in the gorgeous 1890’s homestead gardens and indulge in a little retail therapy!

PLUS, we’re now an RV friendly destination!

You can come and stay at the farm in your self-contained motor-home or caravan and enjoy the peace and quiet of rural life. Wake up to the birds and potter round to your heart’s content, use our BBQ and fabulous undercover entertainment area for your happy hour, it doesn’t get any better than that.

While you’re here, explore beautiful Boort, including the lakes, wildflowers, olive groves, the museum, the Patchwork shop and the amazing Spanner Man’s sculpture garden.

If you’d like to visit with a group, check out our day tours. We love hosting coaches, in fact it’s our specialty!
So whether you you’ve got a car load or a coach load, give us a call and pop out to the farm. We’re easy to find, just an hour’s drive north of Bendigo.

Please do be sure to call ahead to make sure we’re not off down the paddock though!

Simply Tomatoes, we’ve simply got it all to give you the best time!

Joan & I have just returned from our excellent Boort Escape package… Our first contact was when Jane, from the Boort Newsagency, called on Tuesday to ensure we knew the address of the Banyandah Retreat & invited us to call into the newsagency to meet her.. She explained what Boort was all about & contacted the Spanner Man & Simply Tomatoes to advise them we were on our way..What a story, John the spanner man told & how good is his work, birds & gardens..Next we met Marilyn, Ian & Robyn at Simply Tomatoes & enjoyed a nice afternoon tea & great chat..Joan is involved with a craft group where we live so the Aussie Wool Quilts was of great interest..I bought a new pillow there & now sleeping well..Afternoon tea at Frank’s Café was delightful but Joan left her car keys there & Graham has arranged for them to be posted back to Ballarat..Just another indication of “no worries”..Afer a good nights sleep at the retreat & small breakfast at Frank’s we were off to Salute Oliva where we met Marlies & the her little dog Maxie..Another pleasant hour or so spent with a very interesting lady..Then we called at the Railway Hotel & although Andrew & Kerry are Collingwood / Hawthorn supporters, we still managed to have a great meal & good chat..Finally we went to Wycheproof, where my father was born, & then back to Ballarat.. We had a wonderful time, met many very nice people & would like to thank you all for organising a terrific Escape Package.. Loddon Shire has a lot going for it.. Thanks again Brian & Joan Francis
